From Marcia, just to be sure that everyone knows/remembers:
MKG meeting will NOT be at the White Station library Tuesday the 24th, but will be at Hank's house on Saturday, 7/28, at noon. It will be a gift exchange and yarn/knitting magazine swap. Also bring a dish with something delectable to eat.
The hat contest has been moved to the August meeting. The hats are to be donated to MIFA.
I'm sure Hank will have directions to her house in the newsletter, but members please give her or myself a call if it's not handy. (I'll have to miss this event myself this year - bummer - LB.)

I mentioned this one at the meeting, I believe. It's tough to explain, but I'll just point you to someone who can say it better than me.
If you haven't gotten onto the waiting list yet, you may not get an
invite before the site goes open to the general public. Regardless,
it's very much worth the advance look. I think the couple who
developed this baby are going to be utterly swamped - in a good way -
and I can't wait to be able to see what 371 other online knitters have
done with the latest "hot" pattern from Interweave Knits or Knitty. Or be
able to see who has the same sock yarn in the same colorway I just got,
and how it knit up for them. The whole concept is just magic.
----- What else? Ohhhh, yeah...everybody see the Susanna Hansson Workshop Link at the very TOP of the sidebar to your left? GOOD! (I'm proud that I figured out how to link to the brochure and registration form from there. So use it!)
----- Something I meant to get up earlier - a link to that terrific tutorial for the twisted German cast-on, that I demo'd during last month's program. Don't let my brain dead moments when I was trying to show it (!) dissuade you. (I'm still amazed that trying to break down something that is second nature for me, to its discrete and individual elements, can occassionally promt complete temporary amnesia. I hope it was at least amusing when I went "blue screen" there! I'll tell ya, I'm grateful that it happened in Guild and not in one of my knitting classes!)
