Read the May newsletter, here. Sorry that this is going up at the last minute...but it is very much worth the read, in particular to catch you up with all the knitting events for the coming months.
If you are reading this on the fly, here's what to grab for tonight:
Kathy B. is presenting a very interesting program this month: we will make forget-me-nots as a tribute to breast cancer. She is making kits of yarn for us to make felted flowers. Brigitte L. has donated some copies of the pattern. We will finish the flowers, felt them, and bring them back to the June meeting.
Bring size 7 or 8 double-pointed needles and locking stitch holders OR coil-less safety pins.
(This stubborn circs devotee is wondering if 2 circular needles and some stitch markers could sub.)
...and here are some dates for your calendar:
May 30th at 6:00 p.m. Ann Hood will be signing her new book, “The Knitting Circle” at Davis Kidd.
June 9TH is WWKIP day!! (World Wide Knit In Public Day) To celebrate we will be joining the DK Knitter’s group at Davis Kidd Bookstore from 12 to 2.
July 24th is our annual picnic/potluck at Hank’s new house in Hernando.
September 8 – 9 is our workshop with Susanna Hansson.
The Memphis Fiber Arts which consists of MKG, the Weaving Guild and the Spinning On the River Guild will be demonstrating together at the Mid –South Fair.
Like I said, above is just a snapshot, see the newsletter for details.
